FAQ's

Does your location have boundaries?

We do have boundaries of 6 miles from our location (anywhere on the Utah side of the lake is fine). For safety we want our customers to be within the 6 miles in case a storm comes up and causes big waves.

You have to be 18 or older to rent and drive our equipment. Passengers who are riding may be younger than 18.

No, the person and weight capacity of the boat are set by the manufacturer to ensure safety of the passengers and can not be exceeded.  The person and weight capacity rating is calculated using an average of around 150 lbs per person (so typically a mixture of adults and children). Please be aware that there may not be enough actual seating room for the rated capacity if all adults.

Yes, lifejackets are included with the rental. We have all different sizes from XXXL to infant, and you can take up to the capacity of the machine.

If you cancel over a week in advance of the reservation there is a $25 filing fee. If you cancel less than a week in advance of the reservation, it’s 50% of the rental price. No fee if cancelling because of severe or dangerous weather conditions (does not include minor conditions such as overcast or light scattered rain showers). We will gladly re-schedule your reservation for another day at no cost.

We recommend arriving around 20 minutes before the time of the reservation so we can complete the paperwork, give operation instructions, inspect the equipment, and have you on the water at the start time of your reservation. There are no discounts given if you are late picking up the rental, or if you turn the rental in early.

We recommend reserving the equipment for the time you know you will use it, and if you want to extend it, we are happy to if it is not reserved after your time.

We are one of the only rental companies that do allow dogs on our boats. Please make sure they don’t tear the seat upholstery or make a mess on the boat. Renters will be responsible for any damages caused by the dog.

The least crowded and usually the smoothest water are in the mornings and the evenings.  During the afternoon is when there is the most traffic on the lake that can create more waves.

Yes we do rent Stand up Paddle boards and Kayaks, but are currently available only for people inside the Sun Outdoor Resort as a walk in first-come-first-serve basis.  Due to limited beach space, we only allow resort access to people for motorized equipment reservations.
